Why is CareCredit promoting pet insurance?
Pets Best and CareCredit together offer a complete financial solution for the lifetime of care for your pet. From preventative wellness care to helping when your pet is sick and injured, we’ve got you covered.
Why should I have both CareCredit and pet insurance?
With pet insurance, you pay out of pocket at the veterinary office and are reimbursed after submitting a claim. Customers can use the CareCredit credit card and Pets Best together, by paying with CareCredit at the veterinary office and then putting the reimbursement from Pets Best towards their CareCredit account.
If I pay with CareCredit at my vet office, will my insurance claim payout automatically go to my CareCredit account if directed to?
Not at this time. However, you can still manually put your claim payout toward paying your CareCredit account.
Can I use my CareCredit credit card to purchase Pets Best pet insurance?
Yes, CareCredit is an accepted payment method for Pets Best pet insurance. Promotional financing is not available for insurance premiums.
How early in my pet’s life can I insure my pet with Pets Best?
You may enroll your dog or cat as early as 7 weeks of age. Like children, young dogs and cats have the highest risk of accidents. And because their immune systems aren’t mature, they’re more susceptible to infectious diseases. Pets Best plans have no upper age limits, so senior dogs and cats get the same great coverage as kittens and puppies.
How long is the enrollment waiting period with Pets Best?
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before coverage is provided. After the policy effective date, the waiting period for Pets Best is: 3 days for accidents, 14 days for illnesses, and 6 months for cruciate ligament events and any related conditions. Routine care plans can be used the day after you enroll. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals.
